With fall comes so many festive October events you won’t want to miss. Head to Park City for some leaf peeping along the way or visit downtown Salt Lake for some spooky spirits.
Ghost of Gibson at Grand America

Head to The Grand America Hotel to get in on the ghoulish fun as they’ve decorated for the spooky season. While there, visit the Gibson Lounge (21+) for a themed bar experience. The Ghost of Gibson featured spirited décor and spooky cocktails and menu items.
Grand America Hotel is getting into the spirit this spooky season, transforming the Gibson Lounge into a ghostly affair from one’s Halloween dreams. Named the Ghost of Gibson, the themed bar experience will run for the month of October, featuring ghoulish décor, spooky seasonal cocktails and plenty of photo opps.
Halloween enthusiasts can sip on frightfully fun potions and elixirs like Vampire’s Kiss, The Gravedigger and the Creepy Colada mocktail paired with fang-tastic menu items like Monster Meatballs, Haunted “Ham” Burger and Riga-Boney.
The Ghost of Gibson is open daily from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Oktoberwürst at Dog Haus
October
To celebrate October, Dog Haus is introducing the limited-time-only Oktoberwürst as the newest taste in the “Absolute Würst Sausage Series.” This one-of-a-kind sausage starts with a smoked bier bratwurst made with pretzels, cheddar cheese, and whole grain mustard.
As with every chef-driven sausage in this series, Dog Haus will donate $1 from the purchase of each Oktoberwürst to No Kid Hungry, its national charity partner. Oktoberwürst marks the seventh Absolute Würst Sausage in the series, and to-date, this charitable collaboration has helped No Kid Hungry provide more than 3.5 million meals for kids in need.
7th annual Park City Sunrise Shot Ski

Park City Sunrise Rotary Club and High West Distillery welcome imbibers to line Park City’s Historic Main Street for a shot at the 7th annual Park City Sunrise Shot Ski.
The festive fall tradition happens on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. In 2022, a 2,800-foot-long shot ski served 1,340 people using 528 skis end to end and raised more than $40,000 for the Park City Sunrise Rotary Club grant program.
This year, they hope to host 1,360 thirsty participants and raise $50,000 to support local grand programs.
The event’s presenting sponsor, High West Distillery, will fill this year’s shot glasses with High West Double Rye whiskey.
A $25 ticket includes a spot on the shot ski and a token to enjoy a High West specialty drink at High West, the official after-party site. Event is 21+ and is rain or shine.
Halloween Spook-tacular at Pendry

Join the first annual Halloween Spook-tacular to trick-or-treat in the Pendry plaza from 3-6 pm with festive activities, pumpkin carving, a costume contest, cookout, and more. This family and pet-friendly event is complimentary and open to the public.
Haunted Haven at Log Haven
October 29-31
Eat, drink and be scary with the spooky staff at Log Haven. Take a drive up beautiful Millcreek Canyon and enjoy dinner with Haunted Haven specials alongside the regular dinner menu served from 5:30-9 pm. Costumes are encouraged. Contact Log Haven for reservations.
