Head to Ogden “For the Love of Beer” Festival February 2

January 31, 2019 By Heather King 1 Comment

Check out Roosters new B Street Brewery and Taproom which will host the third annual For the Love of Beer Festival on Saturday, February 2 from 4-9 p.m.

The event includes a private party, Roosters B Street Brewery tours, light appetizers and the opportunity to mix and mingle with representatives from Kiitos, Red Rock, Uinta, Talisman, Mountain West Hard Cider, RoHa and Fisher and Ogden’s own Beehive Cheese and Daily Rise coffee.

This year, the festival will be held at Roosters new brewery venue where there will be double the space for attendees to explore the brewery and sample Utah beers.

Roosters Brewer Jacquie Wright King explains that the new beer fest location comes with a multitude of benefits for attendees since the brewery is licensed as a bar. “We’re able to have more vendors and breweries and with this being a bar, we’re going until 9 p.m. So we’ll do last call at 8:30 p.m. and flip everything and open back up as a bar at 9 p.m. so we have those remaining two hours for open service. That gives everyone that came up from Salt Lake a chance to unwind and have a beer and relax after the event. People can mix and mingle with all the representatives too.”

The new B Street Brewery has just recently come online and serves as the largest brewing operation for Roosters—which now including their state-of-the-art canning line. “The two small breweries in Ogden and Layton have been at capacity for the last couple of years,” explains Roosters owner Pete Buttschardt. “In order to keep the shelves stocked and expand, we’ve been working to create a dedicated production facility and add canning to our operation. This new location is our answer.” B Street Brewery also includes a taproom, outdoor seating options and a casual menu for lunch and dinner.

The Layton and Ogden locations of Roosters will carry on as full-service restaurants with craft beer brewed on-site.

Due to Utah’s quirky liquor laws, tickets to the For the Love of Beer Festival can’t include beer samplings but can be purchased at the event. Admission is just $15 and can be ordered online.
