July is always a fun month in Utah with two holidays to celebrate. In addition to those, big fundraising events centered around food are on tap along with great activities for every taste.
Eat Drink SLC
July 7
Celebrate Salt Lake’s coming of age as a culinary hotspot by sampling the best in seasonal fare from many of our finest restaurants and food purveyors. Sip wines from an international selection of boutique wineries. Taste craft cocktails from small batch distillers. Enjoy local beer from award-winning Utah craft brewers.
All proceeds benefit three local non-profits that enhance our community and our lives. In 2016, the beneficiaries are Tracy Aviary, SB Dance and Race Swami.
This event has already sold out although there is a waiting list for tickets.
Park City Food & Wine Classic
July 7-10
Beginning Thursday, July 7 through Sunday, July 10, the Park City Food & Wine Classic is a destination event for master winemakers and culinary all-stars which offers everyone the opportunity to wine and dine in beautiful Park City, Utah. More than 100 food artisans, wineries, breweries, distilleries, epicurean purveyors and locally-made products take part in the festival.
Marking the event’s 12th year, the Park City Food & Wine Classic features more than two dozen food and wine tastings, seminars, bike rides, hiking excursions and more.
Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the People’s Health Clinic, a nonprofit that provides healthcare for uninsured individuals and families in Utah’s Summit and Wasatch counties. To date, the Classic has helped generate over $200,000 for area charities.

Trestle Tavern Kickstarter & Opening
July 9 and July 18
The newest restaurant from Scott Evans–owner of Pago, Finca, Hub & Spoke and East Liberty Tap House—is nearing completion in the original Fresco location on 15th and 15th. They’ve put together a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the launch and allow anyone who wants unique insider rewards — from tickets to pre-opening parties, to custom events with food and wine pairings provided by owner and sommelier Scott Evans, to VIP house accounts. The restaurant opens to the public on Monday, July 18.
Epic beer dinner at Franck’s
July 18
Franck’s annual Epic Beer dinner will be held on Monday, July 18 beginning at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will be held in the garden patio and feature Epic’s Head Brew Master Kevin Crompton who will speak about the brewery and the beers being paired with dinner. Chefs Adam Vickers and Robert Perkins will serve four items designed to compliment four Epic beers.

Manoli’s rosé wine dinner
July 27
Get ready for rosé at Manoli’s on July 27 at 7:30 p.m. with an exquisite wine tasting dinner. The restaurant is teaming up with Young’s Market Company of Utah to bring you a delightful pairing of rosés to complement their seasonal summer creations. Wasatch Mountain Table dinner
July 24
The annual Wasatch Mountain Table dinner series returns to Solitude Mountain Resort this month. The dinner features cool mountain air, spectacular views, wine and unbeatable fine dining. Taking place on the lawn at The Inn, fresh food is served al fresco during a multi-course tasting menu from local farmers and ranchers at the resort’s communal “Mountain Table” alongside Big Cottonwood Creek. Specialty wine and beer pairings are also available to complement each themed dinner.
The July 24 series theme is Cuisine of the Mountain West, with optional wine pairing from Cinder Winery of Snake River Valley, Idaho.
“The Wasatch Mountain Table Dinner Series provides one of the most serene, beautiful dining atmospheres you could wish for on a summer night,” said Andrew Fletcher director of food and beverage at Solitude Mountain Resort. “Each event is started with an appetizer reception, then at dusk, our communal table is lit by candlelight, creating a magical ambiance for each course served under the majestic Wasatch Mountains.”
Cost for the Wasatch Mountain Table Dinner Series is $125 for dinner plus the optional wine/beer pairings, dinner only is $85 and alcohol pairings are $40.
Solitude Mountain Resort is also offering a Wasatch Mountain Table Lodging Package for the series. Guests attending one of the Wasatch Mountain Table events can receive a $99 hotel room rate at The Inn at Solitude or 20 percent off condominium-style accommodations at select Solitude Resort Lodging managed properties.

Avenues Proper wine dinner with Ruth Lewandowski Wines
July 31
Join Avenues Proper Executive Chef Justin Soelberg along with Evan Lewandowski in a special wine pairing dinner featuring Utah’s own natural wines of Ruth Lewandowski Wines. The evening begins at 6 p.m. and will feature five courses paired with five wines. Cost of the dinner is $60 and an additional $35 for wine pairings.
