For the second time in April, Utah’s beer and hard seltzer fans are getting special treatment from Anheuser-Busch, the home of Budweiser and related big-name brands.
Recently, Salt Lake became one of three launch markets for BON V!V hard seltzer’s newest flavor Raspberry Dragonfruit.
Actress and singer Priyanka Chopra Jonas served as creative advisor for the beverage and tasted numerous flavor profiles to put together the botanical blend inspired by her memories of growing up eating raspberries and dragonfruit in India.
With zero sugar, it’s got a nicely balanced flavor of tart raspberries with notes of dragonfruit without any cloying sweetness.
Salt Lake was handpicked as a launch market based on 2021 sales of their hard seltzers which have tripled other U.S. markets. The beverage is available in the Salt Lake area at Smith’s, Maverik and Holiday Oil locations in the BON V!V Blends Variety Pack. Other flavors in the 12-can pack include Pear Elderflower, Pineapple Coconut and Clementine Hibiscus. It will be available nationally starting in May.
The BON V!V Raspberry Dragonfruit launch follows closely on the heels of the announcement of Budweiser’s campaign to become the Official State Beer of Utah.
Utah became the first state in the US to have its own, specially designed, limited-edition Budweiser bottle label.
The Beer Utah Swears By campaign, which runs through May 7, celebrates the “famously charming” way of speaking and more specifically swearing that Utahns have. Advertisements around the valley call out classic Utahn phrases such as “Holy Shizz,” “Oh My Heck” and “Frick Yeah.” Budweiser swear jars are available at certain stores where beer is sold where consumers can buy a swear. For each swear purchased a donation will be made to the Utah Clean Water Partnership to help clean local waterways.
Cheers Utah!
