Pago Harvest Dinner at Frog Bench Farms

October 23

The changing of seasons is such an enjoyable part of living in Utah. The switch from long and hot summer days to the cool, crisp fall air with paintbrush-colored leaves scattered underfoot tells us fall is here, albeit briefly, before the winter snows descend.  To welcome in fall, join Ruth Lewandowski Wines winemaker Evan Lewandowski alongside Pago and Frog Bench Farms for a special harvest dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. This small, intimate dinner features a farm-to-table tasting menu from Pago chefs and wines from Ruth Lewandowski Wines. Cost for the evening is $65 for the tasting menu and $55 for wines. The event is limited to 36 guests and will be hosted at Frog Bench Farms, 2404 E. Blaine Avenue, at two communal tables in one of the greenhouses. Cost for the evening is $65 for the tasting menu and $55 for wines. light-bottle-shotFinca Vieira de Sousa Winemaker Dinner

October 29

Join winemaker Luisa Vieira de Sousa Borges of Vieira de Sousa and Brad Jensen of Bon Vivant Imports on Saturday, October 29 at 7 p.m. to explore some amazing and unique port selections. Port is a classic fortified wine that originated from the Douro Valley in northern Portugal and has a long tradition as an after-dinner drink. Port has evolved and modernized over the years and there are now so many different variations and styles that it can be enjoyed with a wide variety of food, appetizers, desserts, and even a Port cocktail with tonic as a pre-dinner beverage. The chefs at Pago have created a four-course tasting menu to pair with each of the ports and showcase the variety of colors, textures and flavors (including white, tawny, late-bottled vintage or LBV, and vintage). Three of the port wines are special ordered for Finca, so you’ll get to try some really spectacular options that aren’t currently available off-the-shelf. Cost of the dinner is $45 with the port pairings and additional $45. Seating is limited to 26 guests. Purchase tickets online.
