Chedda Burger chef and owner Nick Watts is passionate about taking care of others. A life of highs and lows has lead him to do his best to give back and look out for those less fortunate now that his gourmet burger restaurants are flourishing in Salt Lake.
On the heels of opening his newest Chedda Burger location on Foothill Blvd. last week, the restaurant has also launched new swag (logo merchandise) so everyone can join in the #CheddaWasted fun—and help kids in need at the same time.
Buy a Chedda Burger hat ($12), beanie ($10), T-shirt ($12) or hoodie ($20) and all proceeds will go toward 3 Squares, Inc.
3 Squares, Inc. is the parent nonprofit that puts on the Taste of the Wasatch event each year with proceeds benefitting programs that fight hunger and food insecurity in Utah. Year round, 3 Squares breaks the cycle of hunger by reaching hungry households on a personal level—one household, one child, one neighborhood at a time. The organization leverages experts in the food industry to help create and support sustainable programs that positively impact hungry households in Utah by empowering residents with the knowledge and tools that allow self-sustainability and life skills that address food issues and offer a long-term solution to our state’s current hunger issues.
When asked about his desire to support 3 Squares through Chedda Burger, Watts explains, “I was a latchkey kid, so if I can help contribute to teaching these kids how to make a healthy meal, it means the world to me. It’s a way to help out a community that has literally wrapped their arms around us.”
