As a restaurant critic, perhaps the most frequent question I’m asked is: What’s your favorite restaurant? And the answer is never simple. Why? Because I may have a favorite restaurant that represents every cuisine in every price range in different locations across the state.
My work becomes monumentally easier when I’m asked about a favorite dish at a particular restaurant. And so, with that in mind, I leave you with my best dishes from restaurants we reviewed in 2016. They cover all manner of price points and cuisine types and cement the idea that Utah really does have a dining scene worth discovering.
