Petra Vigil bakes German delicacies for Utahns

March 28, 2019 By Heather King Leave a Comment

Utah is lucky to have a wealth of purveyors who have brought their culinary histories to the Beehive State. A favorite is Petra Vigil, owner of Petra’s Bachstubchen, who makes mouthwatering German pastries for customers along the Wasatch Front.

Petra’s traditional Bienenstich (Bee Sting) starts with a sweet yeast dough that’s drenched with homemade German vanilla pudding and topped with carmelized sliced almonds that’s sold by the slice or sheet cake.

Learn more about Petra and her famous German pastries in the March issue of Devour Utah.
